Allen Davis started his business under the name of Clowns-And-More in Quincy, Illinois on September 9th, 1988. At that time, it was a telegram and birthday party entertainment service. The business had characters that included clowns, a nerd, a gorilla, and other fun characters. A few weeks after the business opened, he got a call to do entertainment for a grand opening of a restaurant in Monroe City, Missouri. Even though Monroe City was a few miles away from Quincy, this was a major move of providing entertainment for other than just birthday parties and small home parties. The business was now ready for bigger shows.
Two major events soon followed. Allen bought the business called Sing-A-Grams, Unlimited and he got booked to perform for five days at the Broward County Fair in Hallandale, Florida. By buying Sing-A-Grams, Unlimited, he was able to add more costume characters and get more business in the Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa area. The booking in Florida was the furthest that he had traveled at that time. Around this time, he booked a clown to perform in Livingston, Alabama while he was performing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The business was surely going nationwide.
Allen moved to St. Louis, Missouri and lived there for a while. He finally settled down in Omaha, Nebraska and has lived there for over seventeen years. Allen has made his performances known in the Omaha area. He does still offer his performance acts nationwide, but his home town is considered Omaha. When going out of town, he lets his past customers know so he can book shows on the way to his destinations. While in Omaha, he has performed for day cares, restaurants, night clubs (in the tux outfit), nursing homes, company picnics, and much more.
His skills include balloon art, comical magic, unicycling, and puppetry. He has performed in the states of Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas, and Florida.
Performances include:
Culver-Stockton College (Canton, Missouri)
Kirkwood Community College (Cedar Rapids, Iowa)
Illinois State Fair (Sprinfield, Illinois)
Adams County Fair (Mendon, Illinois)
and many more.
